Remember that the Skills Update course is not a Refresher course, and delegates will still be required to complete a Refresher course at the expiry of their certificate if they wish to continue in the First Aider role.

Changes have been implemented to the First Aid Initial Qualification, First Aid Refresher and also the Emergency First Aid courses by the Health & Safety Executive.
The H.S.E. now strongly recommends that all delegates after completion of their course complete an annual Skills Update course.
 

This 3 hour course is for those wishing to update their skills within any 3 year period of completing the First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work qualifications.

Candidates will be required to demonstrate their competency to show the skills learnt from the previous course, as well as be updated on skills needed for changes to protocol.

Courses are now scheduled throughout the year at D&B Training, and courses can also be held at customer premises subject to numbers.
