In 2004/05 53 people died and nearly 3800 suffered a serious injury as a result of a fall from height in the workplace.

When access is required at height, it is often necessary to use some form of lift to raise either personnel or equipment. Current Health & Safety, LOLER and Working at Heights Legislation however requires that all staff working in these potentially dangerous conditions are suitably trained and protected. Indeed, it is a legal requirement for employers to provide adequate health and safety training for all their employees.
