Overview
The Chartered Institute of
Environmental Health (CIEH) have identified a training need to ensure Food
Safety training is more relevant to specific business environments. With this
in mind, the CIEH Level 2 Awards have been designed to address the food safety
needs of the catering, manufacturing and retail sectors.
Delegates
Each tailor made course is
designed for anyone working in either the catering, manufacturing or retail
setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled.
Course
The course is 6hours in
length and is assessed by a multiple choice examination on completion. Each
course covers the following topics:
· Legislation
· Food Safety Hazards
· Temperature Control
· Refrigeration, chilling & cold holding
· Cooking, hot holding & reheating
· Food handling
· Principles of safe food storage
· Cleaning
