FORK LIFT TRUCK INSTRUCTOR COURSE

An RTITB accredited course developed over a number of years which has been designed to enable the delegate, after successful completion, to deliver training in the workplace to the required standard.
The course is held at our Lowton centre over a 12day period and is highly popular and successful, with a high pass rate.

The course covers the following:

• Safety Knowledge & practical operating skills.
  
• Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
  
  
• Engineering Principles/Rated Capacities/Stability.
  
  
• Operating Safety Code
  
  
• Pre-shift checks/Battery Charging and re-fuelling.
  
  
• Introduction to the machine and correct operation.
  
  
• Theory and practical assessments.
  
  
• The role of the instructor.
  
  
• Learning (incentives and methods).
  
  
• Principles and techniques of instruction.
  
  
• Lessons types and structure.
  
  
• Presentation & lessons/plans
  
  
• Demonstrations & practical periods.
  
  
• Final practical & theoretical assessments by the RTITB.
