Basic Tug/Tractor Training

A successful course developed due to wide demand in today’s environment of heightened awareness for the need to receive professional certificated training.
This course which is tailored to suit the individual needs and also the differing types of equipment will last from 1 to 3 days dependent on the operator’s experience. This course will generally be held at your site.

The course consists of:

• Introduction to Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
• Introduction to Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998
• Classroom theory
• Safe working methods for Tug Operators
• Pre-shift check of Tug and checking items towed by Tug.
• Safe moving off and stopping.
• Emergency stop with and without loaded trailers
• Practical test of operators basic operating skills in a confined area.
