Remember that an Emergency First Aider is only there to support your registered First Aider, and is not a full First Aider.
 

The Emergency First Aid at Work course is a minimum requirement for all businesses.

The course is run over 1day, covering subject matters such as taking charge and summoning help, priorities in First Aid and dealing with resuscitation, control of bleeding, burns and scalds.

Succesful delegates will be awarded with a HSE certificate for a period of 3 years, after which the delegate must attend the full course again.

The course can be run either at D&B Training or at your premises, depending on numbers.

With new legislation coming into effect in October 2009, this course is now registered with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE). Therefore, only HSE approved training centres, such as ourselves, can now complete this type of training.

Furthermore, the HSE "strongly recommends" that upon completion of this course, delegates attend a half-day annual refresher in between the initial qualification and refresher training to ensure that their skills are kept up to date. For more information, click on the Skills Update page.
